The Blackrock Health Better Together Awards will be held on Friday, March 1st, 2024.

The Annual Blackrock Health – Better Together Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the contribution of all our people in making Blackrock Health the best place to receive care, to practice medicine and to work.

The awards will acknowledge the immeasurable impact that we create together for our patients across each clinic by honouring exceptional care and recognising innovation and excellence.

The awards will be open to individuals/teams, in all clinics across the Group who feel they, their teams and/or colleagues have made a difference by
their commitment to Blackrock Health Values over the last year and will culminate in an Awards Ceremony on the 1st March 2024

Nomination Guidelines Checklist

Award Categories

The Award to a Bright New Star will be given to an individual who has joined the organisation within the last 2 years, who has delivered outstanding work above and beyond the call of duty. We are looking for a person who in a short time have become an inspiration to others in their commitment to what they do each day, while setting high standards and performance delivery in line with Blackrock Health Values.

The Award to a Shining Star will be given to an individual who has been in the organisation for 10 years or more. who has consistently delivered outstanding work above and beyond the call of duty. Has embraced and assisted in the implementation of change in line with Blackrock Health Values. We are looking for a person who has been an inspiration to others in their commitment to what they do each day, while setting high standards and performance delivery.

The Innovation Award – Clinical Area will be given to an individual or team in a clinical area who demonstrates an innovative way of thinking in line with Blackrock Health’s Core Values. The award recognises the efforts of an innovative new or improved process or initiative with a demonstrated improvement in the quality and safety of patient care. The results must be measurable and show positive outcomes.

The Innovation Award – Non-Clinical Area award will be given to an individual or team in a non-clinical area who demonstrates an innovative way of thinking in line with Blackrock Health’s Core Values. The award recognises the efforts of an innovative new or improved process, programme, or initiative with a demonstrated improvement in quality, service, financial operations and/or safety. The results must be measurable and show positive outcomes.

The Quality through Excellence Award will be given to an individual or team whose continual efforts support Blackrock Health’s Core Values. This individual / team must have collaborated towards a common quality improvement goal. The award recognises a person or team whose quality initiatives has improved patient / staff safety and excellence of service.

The Commitment to Research Award will be given to the individual or team who have embarked on research leading to further excellence in clinical and non-clinical areas. While clinical excellence is synonymous with the care received at Blackrock Health, there is also a need to develop new approaches and systems to our patients, especially those with conditions of unmet medical need.

This award will be given to those who have made a substantive contribution to research within the group. The award recognises research and findings that have improved patient care and experience / staff safety / system improvement. Nominees should provide evidence and/or examples of how this research is or can in the future make us Better Together.

The Collaboration Award will be given to the individual or team who have shown through collaboration across clinics how excellence can be achieved whether in clinical or non-clinical areas. The winner of this award is someone who inspires us to be Better Together

The Protecting our Planet and People Award will be given to an individual or team who has shown commitment to addressing and reducing the environmental impact of the services we provide to safeguard out communities. The award recognises a person or team who through education/actions are supporting Blackrock Health’s core value of sustainability. Nominees must provide evidence and/or examples of the reduction in environmental impact.

The Digital Change Award will be given to an individual or team who has shown commitment to the use of technology in healthcare. The award recognises those in Blackrock Health who have embraced digital technology and have integrated and embraced it in the working day in line with Blackrock Health Core Value if Leverage Digital.

Effectiveness

How the outcome related to improvement in clinical, service, operational, financial and/or safety within the clinics

Innovation & Originality

How was creativity and innovation demonstrated to bring a new idea, process, or concept to their service.

Transferability

Describe how this nomination has shown collaboration across the group or has the potential to be implemented or applied to other departments or clinics.
